Hitachi expands its offering of 18V Lithium Ion tools with the new 2-mode, DH18DL SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer. Designed for optimal performance when drilling holes for the installation of concrete anchors, the DH18DL weighs over 25% less than competitive models making it perfect for overhead drilling.
Using an electro-pneumatic mechanism to produce 1 ft-lb of impact energy, the DH18DL can drill up to 105 holes on one charge. A factory set slip clutch protects the user and the gears in the event of a bound bit, while the idle strike restrictor prevents no-load hammering, eliminating unnecessary wear on integral parts.

Features
The 3.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries allow for longer run time in between charges and lighten the overall weight of the tool
The two-step speed switch power mode gives you control over drilling speed allowing for fast and efficient drilling in larger diameters
The save mode is designed to conserve battery power and prevent bending of small diameter bits
The belt-hook with integrated LED light gives the convenience of a 5 position hook that can be directed to illuminate dimly lit workpieces
The idle strike restrictor prevents no-load hammering, that helps extend the tool life
The quick bit insert allows for the rapid changing of
accessories
The new compact and lightweight design is over 25% lighter
than competitive models, giving the user greater control and
less fatigue
The externally accessible brushes allow for quick and
easy replacement of worn carbon brushes
