The DC012 radio has the ability to charge any DeWalt battery from 7.2 volts to 18 volts. And this is true across platforms, both NiCad and Li-ion batteries are compatible with the charging and playing applications.

1 hour charger for 7.2V to 18V DEWALT NiCd and Lithium battery packs (except Univolt™ batteries)
Digital Tuner with LCD display, built-in clock, and 8 station memory presets
Runs off of 7.2V to 18V DEWALT NiCd and Lithium batteries making it a cordless radio
Dual pivoting 11" flexible antenna provides more durability and better reception
High efficiency weather resistant speakers with dual bass ports for maximum bass and range
Weather sealed charger door opens easily for fast battery changes
Has an iPod nest with front accessible auxillary port
Heavy-Duty AM/FM radio with auxiliary port allows user to listen to the radio or CD or MP3 Player
