Rasps

Rasps are used for shaping wood and some stones. Similar to a file, rasps feature a long bar with abrasive teeth. Rasps give you good control, and leave a very course surface behind (which may be smoothed later.) Used frequently in woodwork, farriers also use rasps to shape horse hoofs.
