The 6-1/2" plunge circular saw from Makita™ can be used to perform close-to-wall cutting, so you can cut along a wall at a distance of 11/16" away. With a precision built in depth stop you can make a preliminary groove in material at a depth of 1/16" that allows the cut to be made splinter free. The Makita™ plunge circular saw is designed to make long accurate cuts, giving you the precision of a table saw with the manuverability of a hand saw.
