These 12-14x1-1/2 Hex Washer Bit Tip® Screws (box of 3,000) from Malco (BT166) use the unique Bit Tip® design to drill their own holes. The precise dimensions produce the optimum hole size, resulting in better thread engagement and a tighter fit. They are made from strong, high quality, specially heat treated steel and are an excellent replacement for rivets, nuts and bolts, spot welds or adhesives. Bit-Tip® also eliminates the need for costly fastening equipment - just use a standard screw gun rated at 2500 RPM, equipped with drilling depth locater.
