These 12-14x1-1/2" Hex Washer Bit-Tip® Screws (box of 50) from Malco (BT466X) use the unique Bit-Tip® design to drill their own holes. The precise dimensions produce the optimum hole size, resulting in better thread engagement and a tighter fit. They are made from strong, high quality, specially heat treated steel and are an excellent replacement for rivets, nuts and bolts, spot welds or adhesives. The zinc coating slows down the rusting process, giving a longer life to your finished product. Bit-Tip® screws also eliminates the need for costly fastening equipment - just use a standard screw gun rated at 2500 RPM, equipped with drilling depth locater.
