It's easy to use: just turn the bezel clockwise to activate the 35 lumen LED, and turn the bezel counter clockwise to charge--no batteries needed! It charges in any 12V power outlet, like a car cigarette lighter, and can remain inside the 12V socket without burning up the socket or overcharging the light itself.
