Product Description
Powermatic combines heavy duty construction and ease of use in this 701 PM Benchtop Deluxe Mortiser (1791310). The in-line depth stop allows stopping at pre-set depths without racking the bit to the base, and it has a heavy duty reversible handle that can be installed to either side of the head without tools. The stock hold-down has a double lock system, on the top and side, to eliminate slippage of the workpiece, and there's also a quick action cam lock that quickly locks the fence in position with one 90° movement. The large work surfaces on the table and fence allow for more stability and accurate cuts, plus it has a rack and pinion design for simple fence adjustments.
