Pros: Very well made, works extremely well.
Cons: Expensive.
Comments:
After years of suffering with hardware store quality disc/belt sanders I finally splurged. What a difference! I can't believe I waited so long. This Delta is very well made. It's really heavy (there's a LOT of cast iron here!) but that's one of the things that make this sander work so well. It stays put, it is quiet, there is NO vibration, the motor is PLENTY big enough to sand anything you can lift onto it's tables, and THE BELT TRACKS TRUE!!!!!
It is everything you want in a combo sander. The only bad thing I can say is that even with a cyclone type dust collector you can still create clouds of billowing dust if you get carried away.
With this baby in your shop you'll be amazed by how often you use it. The big tables and lack of vibration make controlling your work easier and you'll find that you can do really delicate sanding with wonderful control or you can lean into it and hog huge amounts of wood away in the blink of an eye.
Expensive but well worth it.
