The central hub of this blade is composed of two angled washers that cause the blade to tilt as they are adjusted in opposite directions. This gives the blade a wobbling action removing more wood for a much wider cut. This wobbling also allows you to fine tune the width of cut without shims by varying the amount of adjustment. Although less expensive and easier to adjust than a normal stack dado set, wobble-style blades leave a slightly rounded bottom in the dado or groove.
