Pros: dewalt name...
Cons: dewalt quality...
Comments:
bought for my brother later in last year: professional carpentry/finish/remodel worker; he sent it back to me last week and said : trouble getting "gears" to shift on drill , and batteries are harder to remove than when new (???)...(no apparent damage to any battery or drill , but it is very difficult to remove them now .) he liked the power of 925 drill but not all-up weight with XRP cells , and many co-workers teased him about how short a time he would be able to use it on job-sites before it broke or failed...he gave up on the 390 saw as it couldn't keep up the pace between charges and was heavy too ; maybe if it was li-Ion powered with that 2 port charger combo ???
he liked the carry bag and kept that , but says he will stay with rigid and milwaukee for now , thanks...
i too have noticed quite a variety in fit/finish/noise/problems over the last nine months of my adventures with new corded and cordless power tools , and i have to say the dewalts have been 50/50 across the board... (by the way , any one need a drill or saw cheap ?)
