Hitachi's DS18DFL utilizes new Lithium Ion technology in their new compact drill which helps it to have a lighter and more compact design. This drill can fit into spaces that were before only the domain of hand screwdrivers and weighing only 3.7 pounds you can work twice as long before you tire.

• Comes with two (2) 1.5Ah 18-volt batteries which can be charged and recharged approximately 1,500 times (as opposed to 500 times with traditional batteries) which saves you money in the long run
• Lithium ion batteries reduce the overall weight of the drill making it significantly lighter and causes less user fatigue
• The New Lithium Ion Batteries are backwards compatible to Hitachi's other 18V DMR, DVF3 and DL line of tools so they can operate any of those tools so you don't have to buy a new line of tools to utilize the new technology
