Pros: It's lite, good power
Cons: Not made very well
Comments:
Used this drill for about a month in drill mode, then in hammer mode drilling a few holes 3/8in X 2in deep when done drill was locked in hammer mode (we do heating & air) after calling Hitachi customer service (no Help) I finally got it back to drill mode but it would not go back to hammer mode. No local service centers would make repairs unless it was purchased from them. Shipped it back to Hitachi, after them having it for over 2 weeks I call to find out where the drill was as I needed it for work, they said they had the drill and but could not give me a date when it would be repaired as they were too backed-up with repairs of products. Not good. Going to buy [another brand].
Comment to review by ToolBarn.com Staff: Sorry to hear about your issues with this tool. If those are factory authorized service centers that wouldn't repair a tool you didn't buy from them, let Hitachi know! Hitachi reimburses them for repair costs, so there is no good reason for them to refuse to service your tool. If you aren't sure on their status or you want to find a repair center, you can use Hitachi's service center locator to find authorized service centers.
