Pros: unmatched
Cons: none
Comments:
We have 2 on the job use them continually. Our clients desire the hand hewned trusses siding corners interior posts. Makita produces the only hand hewn planer and wire wip, which seems to be the same motor and base, building tools our there. Given their uniqueness they are very reliable. Go Makita go. Oh yea watch out for the cord it likes to get caught in the blades.

Pros: Works great for hand hewn look
Cons: Must buy a curved blade to get the true desired look.
Comments:
Great concept for people who want a hand hewn look or distressed look on timbers. Highkly recommend buying a curved blade or having one machined from stock replacement blades. Works fast and is powerful.
