Pros: Work great/ lots of power/ long run time

I got this kit to replace a similar hammer drill that I droped off a 20 ft tower. The dropped tool worked for about a year before finally giving up, so I thought it would make sense to replace with the same model. I had wanted to try an impact driver (after hearing and reading about how well they worked).
The new drill works great. I particularly like the chuck on this model. The jaws seem to hold tight.
The impact driver works great, as well. Though it does take getting used to having that much torque with so little reaction. I understand that is the entire point of an impact tool, but it can be easy to break screws. It does seem that the screws get tighter before they break as compared to a conventional driver.
I saw none of the power problems as described in another review. Nor have I seen it over 3 years of hard use (with the previous tool) that used the same batteries.

I was so excited to buy this kit, only to be very disappointed. The first day I used it on something light at work and burned up a battery I took the battery back to BIG BOX STORE and they exchanged it for a battery that didn't work and the other battery that came with the kit wouldn't last for more than 10 miniutes of real work. So I returned the whole kit back to BIG BOX STORE and told them this time I think it is the charger. They gave me a whole new kit and I am scared to open it so I am reading reviews before i do.
Comment to review by ToolBarn.com staff: I'd guess you had a defective tool or charger in your kit (or BIG BOX STORE cooties). You should be fine with your new kit, unless the manufacturer had a bad batch of products (rare, but it does happen). Milwaukee does offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on the majority of their tools, so if your newest kit doesn't work, get a replacement or a refund.
