Pros: Works quietly and quickly @ 12 sec recovery time. Professional Quality And Apperence. Top Name D Square pressure switch and Norgren 1/4" mini reg.
Cons: Heavy, Slightly unbalanced feeling while carrying, Soft Paint, No unique features. Packaging could have been more protective.

After researching for a few weeks I decided on the Rol-Air D2002HSSV5. Once toolbarn got the order it took a good two weeks for it to get to me. The lengthy shipment is due to the fact that they order and ship directly from Rol-air in Wisconsin USA . What you get is a freshly built unit that hasn't been sitting around on a shelf not being ran to keep it lubricated. On the down side of that though is the fact that its so new the paint is still soft and in my case still wet. The lengthy shipment process could be a problem to some though.
As for the quality and components they really just don't get much better. Only top brand parts were used with the quality built tanks and carriage. Only thing I see that I don't like when it comes to components used would be the power cord its probably not a big issue but I read on the cord that it was only 16 gauge wire. The cord is only about 6' long so it probable doesn't have much effect but would be nice to have a 12 to 10 gauge fatty on there since they recommend using a 12 or 10 gauge extension cord for lengths of 25' to 50'.
As for the reason one would want this over a similar Dewalt/Emglo or Porter-Cable would be the fact that this is Made in America and is built a lot better with excellent welding and reinforcement on the tanks and frame.
