Pros: there are no "pros" to this poor design - stay away
Cons: see above
Comments:
This knife is a pathetic attempt to fix something that was never broken. The yellow plastic blade change button does not work. Purchase a standard knife........at least there is only ONE screw to change a blade.

COULDN'T GET THE STANLEY TAG SEPERATED FROM HANDLE. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING BLADES. PUSH BUTTON FOR CHANGING BLADE DID NOT DEPRESS. WHAT USE IS THIS DESIGN IF THE BLADE CANNOT BE INSTALLED.
Comments from the ToolBarn.com Staff: According to the hang tag on the Stanley Instant Change Utility Knife, to remove the tag, you simply need to tear the tag right where it slips into the blade extending slider. Once you make that tear, the whole tag will slide right out. Also on the same hang tag, there is an illustration showing how to change the blade. To do so, you push the blade extension slider all the way up to the rubber thumb rest and hold it there, with your other hand you press the button on the side. While the side button is depressed you can now take your hand off the slider and pull out the blade and insert a fresh blade. Most quick blade change setups on utility knives are very similar to this.
