Features Price Value Quality Performance I purchased this piece of equipment and two other Flex polishers for stone products, wet application. I can honestly say that these were the poorest quality for the price that I have ever seen and after talking with an executive from Flex, I really think that they don't give a damn. In the three tools, in one year, we've gone through at least twenty sets of brushes (sometimes lasting as little as 3 or 4 hours), two of the power units have failed completely and were replaced with Makita, including the one on the LCP 1703VR and now we have to replace the bearings and planetary gear set. A significant number of the fasteners are carbon steel rather than stainless. Some of the grinder head parts are Black and Decker, some of the bearings are standard off the shelf stuff that are typically intended for dry application and do not have proper seals for wet application.
Our policy in all of our locations is "Anything but Flex! ".(Posted on 12/12/11)
