- Best saw every made Review by Diamondjim

Quality Performance Features Price Value I can't believe the poster did not learn how to activate the break, most all the saws with an electric brake can and will fail. The trick is to learn how to release the trigger quicker. I've had Makita's ,Boschs, Hitachi and they will all fail sometime. I had one just like this one that was stolen and I will be replacing it with this model no doubt.

- Don't Waste Your Money Review by Woodworks by John

Features Price Value Quality Performance Since my first review on Amazon where I was pretty disgusted with this saw now I'm totally feed up! I took the original saw back to the repair facility once again and they did what ever paper work they had to do for me to get a replacement saw. That took a few weeks so I had to drive there again to pick it up. Guess what, now that I've had the unit for a while it is doing the same thing. I kept track and of 50 cuts the brake failed 27 times, simply coasted to a stop. After several calls to Hitachi and staying on them they, once again, told me to take it to the repair facility claiming I'm the only one who's experienced this problem! I can't believe I'm so lucky, after all I live in Las Vegas and don't gamble. Should they attempt to fix this one or send me another replacement I'll sell it on Craig List and go for another, maybe Makita's small chop saw. Amazon won't allow 2 reviews from the same person so I'm putting it on the Tool Barn, that's where I bought the initial unit.
