I bought this tool due to an old shoulder injury and before going to northwoods of Ont. to lay 900 SF of hardwood. Used 32 large tubes of PL 400 adhesive. It works great -- put separate pressure regulator at about 20 psi, on supply hose. BUT Sure glad I took my old manual gun along.
Most of the 30oz. tubes would function up to about 1/2 way, then the 'pusher' in the PL 400 turns sideways, the air suddenly blows through the adhesive --spraying a mess for several feet--, and you are all done!!! Remove the tube from the CaulkMaster, cleanup the MESS!!!!!, insert tube in the MANUAL gun and use rest of it up.
Maker could solve the problem by installing a 'follower' that would handle the air pressure and push against the tube 'pusher'. This follower would simply have to be long enough to prevent it from turning sideways. It could have a spring to pull it back when you release the trigger. They could correct the current supply by sending one to everyone who bought a unit.
