2.5 HP Air Compressor
Product Review (submitted on December 10, 2011):
I purchased this compressor to replace an Air Mate which I have owned for a very long time. I chose the Makita because Japanese products are typically high quality, because the engineering seemed fresher, and because I have had good experiences with Makita in the past. I made the right choice.
Even at 40 degrees, I can run the compressor with one Honda EU2000i inverter, where the Air Mate required two inverters running in paralell. One of the best features is that the generator is very quiet. The drain valve has a 1/4 turn drain valve which is readily accessible and the air regulator is the best I have ever used on any pneumatic machine. The additional weight of the compressor is not noticeable because one can easily grab the frame with two hands. The compressor doesn't leak the slighest bit of air when it's sitting.
I bought from Tool Barn because they took back a framing nailer last year that I was very disattisfied without a lot of hassle. So they got my compressor business.
