The Vaughan Copper/Rawhide Face Hammer is two tools in one. The iron head holds one copper and one rawhide face, making this hammer perfect for a wide variety of jobs. Rawhide faces are compressed and then seasoned for uniformity and durability. Malleable copper faces protect workpieces by absorbing shock and evenly distributing the force of each blow. The hammer's iron head has socket walls that are tapered to allow a secure press fit for the replaceable faces. The sturdy hardwood handle creates good balance for effective strikes. Dual faces make this a very versatile hammer, well suited for a variety of jobs, from leather and furniture to engine repair.
