The Bosch Single-Speed 1/2" Hammer Drill (1191VSRK) delivers outstanding performance-to-weight ratio. It is a 4.1 Lbs. hammer with a 7.0 Amp motor that produces 0-48,000 no-load blasts per minute and no-load drilling speed of 0-3,000 RPM. This drill supplies a 360° locking auxiliary handle with a built-in, quick-release depth gauge.

This easy-to-handle drill has a dual-mode selector, which easily converts the tool from rotation-only to hammer-drill mode. The variable-speed trigger with reversing allows accurate bit stars as well as removing fasteners, as this tool has a metal front housing for longer life and a heavy-duty keyed chuck for secure drilling. Switch problem

I bought this tool 2 years ago; the switch is bad and must be replaced. The cost of the new switch is half the price of the tool...

Simple and aggressive

First time using a hammer drill, so it is a bit aggressive when at max speed. I used this adding a 2/4 wall on my cement foundation. My holes would be 1" deep. I had my concerns being too aggressive, as I didn't want to harm the motor or damage the drill bit. Not making much progress, I eased into being more aggressive and let the drill do its thing. My first hole took about 10 minutes. Afterward, my next holes took about a minute each. As a practice, I counted to 10 seconds then cleaned the debris.

Have problem with Chuck slipping

I just bought this a couple days ago hammer drill and on some brick walls you put furring strips up. For some reason I had a problem with a Chuck coming loose by itself and the bit not spinning. It didn't do it every time but it did it about 10% of the time maybe a little less I plan to bring it back and get another one see how that one works. I'll let you know what happens

bought my hammer drill in july, used it for the first time in november, drilled about 10 holes and it quit on me, took it back to menards and they replaced it for me, hope i have better luck with the second one

Worthless

Grossly underpowered for any project that would actually require a hammer drill. Stopped working after 1 5/32" hole in concrete and it struggled with that. I've had Bosch tools from a vsr drill purchased in 1995 followed through the years by a screw gun, jig saw, circular saw, sander, router and compound miter saw. I would buy any of these again in a heartbeat although I doubt if I will ever have a need as they are solid. Don't know what happened to the 1191vsrk hammer drill or why it is even offered as an option.
