Reliable everyday use. My favorite tools in my kit

I just purchased my second of these combos because of the un-timely demise of my drill/driver. It was not the drills fault. I have used this combo everyday for the past 7 years and cannot imagine my day without them in my tool box. In my profession 12 volt tools cover 90% of the things I need to do and Bosch has built a high quality and reliable combo here. Their compact size and light weight help me get into tight places and fasten or drill and I don't feel as fatigued as I did lugging around my 18v drills all day. The batteries are also reliable. I've yet to have to replace a battery and they run a long time. Get 1 or 2 spares and you can work all day. I love this combo. Bosch has earned my trust and if your looking to get into a 12v platform Bosch is up there with the best.

Impacts are substandard

I was introduced to these tools and found them ideal for most applications in trim carpentry especially installing kitchen cabinets. I am on my second kit due to the impact tools failing, the second just failed and i am thinking of switching manufacturers. I have always thought of bosch as a well above average tool manufacturer but recently have not seen that to be the case

Powerful little punch!

I bought this combo pack about 10 days ago because I had a tedious project to do. Always have had a big heavy 20 volt drill but these two 12 volt Bosch tools are the bomb! Had plenty of holes to drill, plenty of anchors to sink and plenty of screws to put it all together. They worked like a dream and the fuel gauges were still full when done.

Great product!

I received the kit for Christmas for home repairs. Light weight with good hand ergonomics (I have arthritis) and the lights help make seeing the project easier. Great set for a woman! Drill bits come in a nice carry packet that were purchased extra. Battery packs are smaller than other brands and I like them. I wish the drill and impact gun had a place to carry the two frequently-used screwdriver bits like competitors have-it's the only weakness of the item(s).

Not siutable for home use

This impact drill was everything the average reviewer promised except the noise was unacceptable. Sure you can wear expensive hearing protection to save your hearing working in confined places but others anywhere near you are not so fortunate. Even pre-drilling soft wood for a small 3/4" woodscrew to ease effort on the impact driver as described, it still produced unbearable noise as soon as I started aplying it to screw.
