The Bosch 9.2 Amp 2 Speed 1/2" Hammer Drill (HD21-2) features outstanding power, with a 9.2 Amp motor that handles all masonry drilling applications. This hammer drill features a maximum of 51,000 BPM for productivity in concrete and masonry. The dual-mode selector easily converts from rotation-only to hammer-drill mode. Its rotating brush plate allows users to back out bound-up bits.

It has two speed settings, one for high speed and one for high power. It has a 360° torque-control auxiliary handle that securely locks into place for great control in heavy-duty drilling operations. The handle has a built In. depth gauge for accuracy. This robust drill has a metal front housing for longer life, a heavy-duty keyed chuck for performance and an overload clutch for security against recoil.

I bought this tool for all purpose drilling .Used for heavy duty steel and wood boring with holesaws cutting. Strong powerful fast efficient tool

Finally a drill that can hold it's own

Went though 3 drills that died after a few months use before I got this one....it's lasted as long as the others did put together and doesn't appear to be close to giving up the ghost! I'm getting another one for my other truck for sure....

Solid - all around

Originally, I had a Milwaukee hammer drill, but it was showing it's age. I was not thrilled with the new Milwaukee brand so I allowed myself to use smaller hammer drills. After a stint of replacing smaller drills every so many months, I decided to move up. Everyone was telling me to get a 10 amp, but this definitely does the job. I primarily used this for drilling anchors in concrete to using it as a hole saw. I had no issues with anything. No failures, the chuck is solid, at the same time it is not too heavy or awkward.

Great for Post holes

I have used it for drilling holes into concrete posts for decks and also into brick and it works great with little effort as long as you have the right bit for the job. No problems with the chuck coming loose either when running in hammer mode

Solid performer through brick and cement walls

I've used this hammer/drill over the past 6 months drilling 3/8 inch holes for cabling through cement, brick and cinder block walls, as well as small anchor holes in cement foundations. Never had a problem with over heating but I'd recommend work gloves to reduce the vibration feeling in your hands. A stable platform (man lift, scaffolding) to work from makes the job much easier instead of trying to drill walls from a ladder. The depth gauge works great but you need to make sure to insert it in the correct position so that the plastic release grips the small indentations in the rod (gauge). Solid construction like most other Bosch equipment.
