High Performance Polyethylene by itself has a tensile strength 15 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis. Hand & Arm Protection made with HPPE is lightweight, comfortable, abrasion resistant and cut resistant. Tests have shown that gloves made with HPPE fibers have up to 20 times the abrasion resistance of gloves made with spun Aramid (Kevlar) yarns. Additionally these HPPE gloves have a grey polyurethane palm coating which increases their resilience and usage life as well as their cut resistant qualities.
