YES, I would buy this product again.

I purchased the BHX2500CA blower 1 August 2013 to use on my land to blow leaves, pine needles, etc. Strangely enough, immediately after it arrived, it was packed away new and never used until March 2017. Yes, strange but I did everything by hand and kept on working without it. Well into my 60's I decided it's time to bring out the big guns. I finally un-boxed the blower and read all directions prior to adding gas or oil. The blower fired up first time since it literally was new. I use it almost everyday now and it's a great blower. Quiet, strong, easy to fire up. NOTE: I DO NOT use ethanol fuel in any of my small engine equipment but this thing is great. I use it to move pine needles in grassy areas. (try that with other blowers). After 15 months of use, it has NOT failed me. I am NOT paid by Makita nor the ToolBar company. I'm just giving you the straight-up talk on how the blower performs.

Easy to start & quiet

My comments are related to Makita Blower BHX2500CA. It is easy to start. The 4 cycle engine is quiet at idle. At idle, the blower puts out enough wind to blow most dry debris off driveway, sidewalks, etc. I have not yet experienced a winter use...wet leaves would likely require use of the throttle. The blower has all the power I need. I haven't had a need for noise reduction ear muffs . If you use the blower all day at high speeds you might want some ear protection. I purchased the vacuum kit accessory (part # 195282-8). The vacuum kit is somewhat of an awkward device when installed, but I think it will fulfill my intended purpose of vacuuming up dry leaves. I have not yet used this product during autumn or winter. I would not expect to use this product to vacuum up wet leaves, and I did not purchase it for that purpose. There is also a blower flat end nozzle accessory available (part # 451753-8). Based on my limited experience to date, I think is not necessary.
