36V MultiVolt Lithium-Ion 7-1/4" Brushless Cordless Circular Saw (Tool Only)

Metabo HPT introduces the first cordless-corded solution that meets the power output demand on a jobsite. MultiVolt offers the power of a corded tool, the freedom of a cordless platform and the choice to operate all MultiVolt tools with a battery or plug into an outlet. Metabo HPT batteries use 21700 cells, delivering 1,440+watts of power, similar to 120V-15amp corded power tools. This allows for greater power and approximately 46% more capacity. The battery delivers 4 Ah of runtime in the Metabo HPT 36 V platform and 8 Ah of runtime in the Hitachi-Metabo HPT 18V platform. Cordless or corded-you decide.

The saw

Good saw but a little disappointed it has trouble in pressure treated wood.

Versatility & Power

One of the reason I purchased the circular saw was because I also have the Mitre saw. The Mitre saw is awesome so I would expect the circular saw to be just as awesome. IT IS! Ive had cordless saw before and none of them lasted or had enough power to cut. The nice thing about this saw is that you can use it cordless when needed but have the option of using a cord also. Both ways the saw has more than enough power to do the job. its just a bit heavier than a normal cordless saw but the quality over shadows that.

Skill saw

I've been Using only one manufacturer of cordless tools for over 20 years. When I tested out the new Metabo 36 V skill saw, I was extremely impressed of the power it produces. It's seem to have the power Of a professional electric model. The ease and comfort of use was exceptional. I highly recommend this product to other professionals.

Excellent power and battery run time

This saw was purchased to replace my old, worn out yellow cordless circular saw. I am quite impressed with power that this saw has, and the battery life is great. I'm glad to see that the MultiVolt batteries have a built in charge indicator so I know how much more work I can get done. I will probably only use this saw cordless, but it is nice to have the option to plug in if needed. All in all it seems like a well built tool. The only negative I can think of is that at this price point, I would have like to have a rip guide included with the saw.

HEAVY DUTY WITH EVERY FEATURE BUILT IN

I have used many brands of 15amp corded circular saws through out my career. I bought this at Menards during the in store free battery with charger plus the free battery through Metabo online offers. This is a powerful saw and will stand up to any plugged in saw. I know that I have made a smart investment. It stands side by side with Milwaukee's offerings and more.....and has more power and features than dewalt's flexvolt 7-1/4. I have used Hitachi nailers and 18 volt products all my life and welcome what adding the Metabo greatness is going to bring to the table.....best grinders on the Planet!!!!!
