Metabo 36v are great - but…..

Coming from a 20yr builder - I’ve owned almost every brand of tools. Metabo HPT (hitachi) is good. I have a bunch of the 36v tools and all are excellent for their price point. Especially the 7 1/4” wormy!! My favorite saw. This saw however doesn’t compare. There are some goods, but for a miter saw it’s just too sloppy. There is a lot of wiggle in the solid detente slots. I messed with it for a couple hours and did some very slight shimming that helped, but the issue is the plastic locking lever. Has a lot of slack. Too much for my liking. Will probably make me a decent framing / maybe siding saw. Not something you are likely going to cut stair parts with if that’s what you are looking for. Dewalt for similar price has a better setup for miter saw ‍♂️. Hoping they will do some design work, because I would love this saw if it wasn’t so sloppy.
