Missing Customization

I use this as my primary meter for diagnosing sewage pumps and other motors. I see quite a bit of 480 volt stuff. This meter is great for high voltage. If you're trying to look at low voltage stuff, you will struggle with it because it doesn't range into the millivolts. Mine seems to require zeroing the DC amp reading feature. Mine is always default at .4 amps. If you use zero function, you can't use min/max. Screen is great perfect for dark places. Wish the auto time-out could be disabled. WATCH OUT: The ohms measurement registers OL if it's over 6K ohms. I misdiagnosed a 100k ohm thermostat and wasted time and money because of that limitation that I was unaware of - in all fairness, it's in the manual. It is great for a quick diagnosis for amps and volts on anything using a lot of power. It's got UL listings and certifications so it's not likely to blow your hand off. Four stars for lack of customization.

good but.....!!!

this clamp on is good but.... and this is a bad thing for industrial use, this tester won't read more than 600v ex if you have a voltage of 615v the tester will not display it!! in general ist a nice product...

Excellent tool well designed, the sound level to continuity is low but does not limit its benefits
