The Milwaukee M12 HACKZALL Reciprocating Saw is a compact, lightweight saw designed for powerful, versatile cutting in tight spaces. It features a 12V LITHIUM-ION battery and strong motor that cuts over 80 pieces of 1-1/2" PVC on a single charge. The 2420 delivers a 1/2" stroke 3,000 times per minute for a smooth yet aggressive cut, and utilizes a key-less QUIK-LOK blade clamp to ensure quick and easy blade changes. The lightweight design offers less user fatigue as well as one-handed operation while the compact design makes it easier for users to access tight spaces or awkward angles. This saw includes a variable speed trigger that provides increased user control and all-metal gear case and gears that live up to Milwaukee's legendary durability.

I didn?t think I needed it.

I got this as part of a tool deal. I didnt really need it as I already had a m18. I love it! Its compact and cuts great.

Went from 2* to 5*

Wow, what fabulous customer service. Sorry about the previous review - would have removed it but was unable so I'm righting my previously review. With the customer support from the Milwaukee office, determined the issue. Though my batteries charge well, hold a charge and function my other M12 products very well, I overlooked the need for powerful batteries for this beast. Yeah, it's a small beast. As noted previously (see other review), I used this thing religiously and burned it out after a few years of productive use. During that time it was so dependable I apparently overlooked my lack of new supply of batteries after getting it rebuilt. Thanks for the great product support, you've reinstilled my faith in Milwaukee powertools. Thanks again for the assistance for the product proving its reliability.
