M12 Red Lithium batteries increase run time and are compatible with over 40 cordless Milwaukee tools. Redlinks intelligence maintains even pressure throughout the entire press cycle and has a light that indicates the connection has been completed successfully. The maintenance interval for this tool is 32,000 connections and there is even a service light on the tool indicating that it needs to be calibrated. The tool is designed to be used one-handed thanks to a in line design that weighs only 5 lbs.

Tool is great but....

The tool it self is amazing, no complaints. My complaints however are with what you get for your money. First, the Ridgid 12 volt press tool comes with 1 1/4 jaws, Milwaukee, you need to buy extra. Second, the batteries. For around $2000.00 plus the extra cost of the 1 1/4 jaws, you get a battery that is only 1.5 amp hour. Hardly for professional use out of the box, you will drain these batteries very quickly on a decent size plumbing job. $250 later for 6amp hour batteries. Now to be fair, Ridgids kit comes with cheap batteries as well, but it has the 1 1/4 jaws included for the same price as Milwaukee. I like the tool, but again for $2000 the 1 1/4 jaws should be included and the batteries should be at least enough to do a descent size job

Excellent Compact Tool

Have made the switch to copper press after many years of soldering. Absolutely incredible time savings and also the ability to work with "wet" connections in emergency situations. One of those tools that once you get it you can't believe you worked without it for so long. Milwaukee needs to come out with a ring and actuator set for the smaller tubing diameters like 1/2" and 3/4". Would be great for service work like installing supply valves under sinks.

My Favorite DIY Tool

I recently had a new NG Furnace put in and HVAC tech used the M18 to crimp every single new fitting. I was shocked at how fast, clean, easy and good it looked. Decided as a homeowner I would just go with the M12 which is a beautiful tool as well. I already have a huge lineup of Milwaukee fuel, M18 and M12 tools anyway :) I went and bought one myself for repairs and new plumbing. So far I used it to replace some leaks without removing all the water and replumb the bathroom. I will be using it to replace my well tank and whole house filter soon. I am also helping out family and friends. Wife bought me the M12 copper pipe tool two months ago. Im all set. Im going to say yes to Would I recommend to friends-so they can get their own tool and stop bugging me.

Best propress available

I use this tool almost daily. It is light and fits in tight spots. No more lead to flush out of the system. Makes work quick and neat.
