This hackzall is a great upgrade from the previous version released by Milwaukee. This comes with a brushless motor and overall runs a lot smoother than the previous version. With a 7/8 stroke length it delivers 3000 SPM. The weight is comparable at 4.15 lbs, which makes for one handed or overhead work extremely easy. This version is better balanced than the previous which makes one handed operation less tiring on your hand. The blades are easily changed out with the quik-lok clamp which doesnt require a tool.
I typically run a 5.0 battery with this tool and its tough to say how long it lasts or how many cuts I can get on a full charge. Over the years I have accumulated such a huge inventory of blades that go with reciprocating saws making this tool extremely versatile. I do notice that this FUEL version is a lot smoother and stops quicker than the previous when you release the trigger. With the right kind of blades you can prune and limb trees and vegetation, cut wood and metal and PVC, remove grout, scrape floors, cut into drywall, extremely versatile. I always make sure to clean out the saw after every use using an air compressor. Good overall tool to have in your inventory!!
