Good saw

The saw is good for the value. Right hand motor option would make all the difference for me.

Rip Guide is Loose Fit

I am a retired pro carpenter. Began in 1973. This saw has been good enough for me on small jobs without electric service. I try to not use it hard. I would rate this saw ready for home use but not jobsite use for one reason. The rip guide is not sold with the saw, and when you order it you are disappointed to get a rather weak and cheap looking guide that fits a 1/2" guide in a 5/8" slot. The fit is really bad and the guide moves back and forth with a lot of slop. Almost useless as a guide unless you are ok with rips that are rough and not really on the mark. This saw is maybe ok for crosscuts but a poor choice for rip cuts, which makes this saw not that useful on a pro jobsite.

I would buy this product again.

I have owned 7 1/4" circular saw for years and have had no problems until now. Saw works intermittently. I read other reviews that have same problem. Is there a fix This has been a great saw.

Switch going bad

I really like Milwaukee products, but the circular saw has issues that Milwaukee needs to address. I had my 6 1/2 in circular saw for a year now and I have issues with the switch. Its works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. I have to keep pressing it for the saw to start running. To me its a safety issue. Milwaukee should recall the circular saws. I read a lot of reviews and discussion board where people have the same problem.

Great idea, needs improvement

I bought this saw to keep in the truck for smaller repairs and fencing. Incredibly handy to have, as dragging out a generator to replace a few fence boards is far from convenient. Unfortunately, after only about 300 cut, the saw has quit working, due to an internal short. May buy again in a few years, but hold off for now.
