Worked for 3 years

Worked great for 3 years, then suddenly the trigger intermittently worked, followed by smoke from the motor. Now it's dead. Expected a much longer life out of this tool.

Would not buy again.

I'm only getting about 800 inch lbs of torque out of my M18 brushless impact driver. It's supposed to give me 1500.

So far I love it.

I was surprised by all the bad reviews. I?ve had mine for 8 months and in that time I?ve built three farm buildings, a large deck, and completed a host of smaller projects that involved driving regular screws, Headloks, Timberloks, and Thruloks. My impact driver hasn?t let me down yet. Paired with a 5.0 amp hour battery it will go all day long. I just ordered the brushed motor version (a little cheaper) for my wife to use for house projects. Her trusty Dewalt finally died so we?re going all in with Milwaukee.

Use this more than any other tool.

I probably use this more than any other tool in my service truck. Works great for screws, also works great for fasteners that are rusted into machine floors, dashboards, headliners, etc.

Starting to fail

Had this drill for awhile but all of a sudden it?s starting to fail: 1) light stays on for a very long time and there is a high pitched squeal. 2) put in reverse and when put back into forward, still stays in reverse. It was a nice drill until it started acting up. Can?t be high up building something and have it fail. This is supposed to be a pro tool so I?m a little disappointed. I need it in a week for another job ... we?ll see if they can service it in time, but it took over 6 weeks for the skill saw so I?m not holding my breath. Other reviews mirror the same issues so it?s not just me.
