The Milwaukee 48-08-0551 is designed for increased portability and jobsite durability. With aluminum main beam construction, the Milwaukee folding miter saw stand weighs in at only 31 lbs. Steel legs and support extensions are designed from maximum strength and rigidness to support even the heaviest work pieces. An included carrying strap makes moving the stand on and off the site easy and allows you to transport other items at the same time, increasing productivity. An adjustable foot ensure a sturdy, level work area even in uneven locations. The 48-08-0551 is also compatible with the Milwaukee miter saw stand table top (48-08-0552) allowing users to keep items like pencils, tapes, blue prints and other items close at hand as well as perform secondary applications like sanding, coping or routing near their saw.

Miter saw stand

This is a really, really nice stand. However, and others have said the same thing, the out reach supports are an absolute piece of junk!!! Good grief Milwaukee. You make a stand like this and cant make even a decent support! I have called to find out and am always told that the people who can answer me are "out until Monday". Dewalt has a great set of roller supports for their stand, why can't you I continue my love hate relationship with ypu guys. Btw, I own at least 2 dozen of your tools.

I am hesitant to ever buy this again,

This stand is not reflective of it's use for this reason I would wait for an upgrade from TTI. It is not powder coated so even MDF dust jams it when closing. It is too small meaning your material will bend and cause bad cut's. The material of even the lightest kind will push down the extension arms...even trim work. It does not come with the carry strap ...I honestly think the "baby brother" version works better and I own it....it's about 1/2 price. I do like the handle and feature if only they made this functional which is the point.

Sturdy and easy to use

Purchased the 10 M18 chop saw and had to get the stand to go with it. Both together make short work of any repetitive cutting task. I like the spring loaded attachment handles holding the saw to the stand. A quick squeeze and you can slide the saw either way or remove the saw for transport or storage. The built-in work piece supports make it easy to support lumber while making your cuts. All in all, a very good addition to the job site. But... I would have liked to have had the hardware for securing the saw to the mounting brackets and for securing the piece supports to the slides included. Support bolts were easy to find; not so sure about the piece support hardware.

I would not recommend or buy again

This stand is horrible. I had a cheap cobalt stand from Lowes that was way better. Biggest flaw is the extension supports. They continually come loose no matter how tight you get them. They wobble and are just flimsy. The height adjustment for the supports is a joke. Such a pain to adjust and don't stay in place no matter how tight the wing nut is turned. Also what about some wheels. This is a heavy saw and when I needed to move it around It would be much easier to roll then carry. Come on Milwaukee I own many of your tools, and never second guess when choosing a manufacture. I just go straight for Milwaukee. My Mistake on this purchase. Did you even try using this stand before you actually decided it was ok to send to market. This stand needs a major over haul on design.

Very Heavy Duty

Great stand that's not too heavy and has many adjustments for setting up just about anywhere and cutting any material. Lost 1 star because it plainly states that a carrying strap is included in the box however it's not in the box. I hope Milwaukee Tool can make this right and send me a strap it's just as heavy as the saw is and a carrying strap would make this a 5 star product.
