Packaging

I just bought these batteries. I am sure they will work just fine. However, getting them out of the packaging was ridiculous. No instructions. Requires very sharp tools and high forces. A dangerous combination. Suggest having the store person get them out of the packaging.

Great all around M18 Battery

This is my go too battery for my M18 lineup. It's got plenty of power to run my 10" Miter saw if I'm only using it for light duty cutting. It pairs amazingly well with my 6.5" Fuel circular saw not too mention how much better my impacts and drills run using this battery. I have 7 of these 3ah batteries that I replaced my 5ah batteries with.

Not compact, interferes with belt clip

Bought a 2-pack with the holiday deals around, interested in a reduced size and reduced weight pack to use with 2753-20() impact. Disappointed as they are wider (which does not work with belt clip and I utilize the belt clip all day) and marginally longer overall length. They also feel heavier vs. a XC5.0 which is a big bummer since I was hoping for some savings. I never realized how much heavier the Milwaukee is until I have to hold it over head on jobs and/or it clipped to my bag after using a friends new Dewalt impact. Maybe time for a upgrade.

YES, and also?

First the Pros, then the Cons "Pros" LOVE the CP3.0 High Output batteries! Currently own multiple 2.0, 6.0 (HO), 8.0 (HO) batteries + previously owned 1.5, 3.0 (XC), 4.0, 5.0 & 9.0 (HD) batteries Of all those batteries, the CP3.0 is my FAVORITE, which is why I bought 6 of them The newer 21700 cells (in all the High Output batteries - CP3.0; 6.0HO & 8.0HO) are incredibly powerful The CP3.0 works great on every M18 tool I own - including my 7-1/4" circular saw AND 10" Miter Saw (although I usually alternate between my 6.0 & 8.0 for that) Being so much lighter than its' equally powerful/longer lasting 6.0/8.0/12.0 counterparts, the CP3.0 allows me to work faster and with less fatigue The CP3.0's slightly longer and wider form factor is a much more stable base for my Impact & Hammer Drivers, especially when I've got a large and/or heavy bit in the chuck "Cons" Older (original) style tool belt-clip will not accommodate the wider form factor. HOWEVER, ALL my my newer tools come with the newer & belt clip that will accommodate the CP3.0 AND the Milwaukee service center in Denver supplied me with 4 more belt clips FREE OF CHARGE (for my tools that didn't come with the newer clip) "Opinion" The previous reviewer that complained the he "Had this product for just over two years, hardly used them and would not charge at all" doesn't know/understand that ALL batteries are capable of (temporarily) loosing the ability to charge if they've been unused for a long period of time and/or been stored in very hot/cold environments. In that case, the Milwaukee "standard" charger () WILL NOT charge the battery. However, the Rapid Charger often will. If that doesn't work, a Milwaukee Service Center should have a charger that will recondition the battery so that it can be charged and used as normal (I've had 4-5 batteries that the Service Center in Denver, CO "rescued" for me.

CP3.0 High Output Battery

Haven't used the battery yet, but it doesn't fit in the case for my 2701-20 1/2 inch Drill/Driver. It's bigger than the 2.0 Red Lithium battery that won't take a charge anymore. A regular Red Lithium 5.0ah fits fine, so I figured the 3.0ah HO battery would fit, but I was wrong. They are blister-packed, so I had to cut it all apart to find this out. It's longer from front to back, and a slightly different shape. It'll be OK for a back-up... I think, if it lasts.
