I?m torn.

Ive worked in the low voltage field for the last 5 years and am always looking for a great day in and day out scissoras it is the tool that I use most often for cutting cables and in my termination process. Ive had 2 pairs of these scissors. My first pair was great, the blades never loosened and I had them for about a year and a half before I was thinking I needed to get a new pair, the first ones were getting worn down and the edge just wasnt there anymore. The second pair that I ordered, Ive struggled with from the start. The blades just didnt seem right out of the package, they cut cables fine, but the bolt lock will not stay tight. They also will not cut pull strings, mule tape, or Velcro. I really want to love them, Milwaukee is my go to tool manufacturer. I dont know if I just got a bad pair or what the deal is.

Just can't use these on the jobsite.

I'm a fan of the Milwaukee brand, but these scissors on the other hand just don't cut it, really. The leverage is all wrong on these, and it makes it very difficult to cut bundles of cable(cat cable). With the normal data scissors you can cut multiple cables(4 or more) at once, not with these. Plus, the wire gullet makes it difficult to cut hook and loop strap used to dress in the cables.

Only Milwaukee Tool I would not recommend

I have had about 4 sets of these doing security and alarm. They go dull extremely quick, tried sharpening them but still does not last long.

Dead spot

I have purchased two of these scissors and both have a dead spot on blade. First set you couldnt even use because the edge was messed up from manufacturing and the second one as seen in picture has less annoying dead spot. This is how they were straight out of packaging

Great for line work

Im a fiber optic tech and we use snips for everything from deltec to cutting fiber strength members. These have stood the test of time for me. There is one issue, these wont cut string or mule tape. These brutes are for the hard work and stay in bucket truck for the line work while the Klein snips stay on the hip.
