Noisy & Hot

For the record all of my handtools are Milwaukee! I purchased the rapid charge back in June 2021 and this thing makes a hissing sound like its burning and gets very hot I will include a picture that shows it gets to 117. I am more than a little disappointed with this product because I have to sit here and wait for it to finish charging due to the fear that it may go on fire.

Must have for charging batteries!!

On a busy day my crew will go through several batteries so we are constantly charging batteries throughout the day. When Milwaukee came out with the rapid charger we swapped out all our older chargers for rapid chargers. The charger will make a humming noise when charging so do not be alarmed by the noise. A 12.0 high output battery will take about an hour to get a full charge.

Only good if you are cutting trim. Blade jams if you try to cut anything thicker. Limited use, however, for it's intended purpose it is perfect

Got very hot and noisy

First time using it, after about 15 minutes, I heard a very high pitch screech from the far end of my home. So I approached it and unplugged it right away. All I could smell was melting wiring and plastic. I picked it up, I got pretty nervous about how hot it was, have to say I am glad that I was at home when this happened.... I brought the battery and charger back to where I bought it an hour prior, I didnt even get to finish explaining what happened before the employee mentioned that all He could smell was burnt wiring and plastic. He did some trial charging mixing the battery and chargers between mine and his just to verify what was faulty. We agreed it was the charger. Needless to say he gave me a new charger, but Im nervous to use it let alone to leave it alone while it in use.
