The Milwaukee SWITCH TANK 4 Gallon sprayer tank assembly is an interchangeable tank powered by the M18 SWITCH TANK powered base (not included). The sprayer tank assembly includes the pump, hose, and wand. The design allows tank assembles to be added for different spraying applications, eliminating cross-chemical contamination. It also enables the tank assembly to be replaced at a lower cost of ownership compared to replacing an entire sprayer. The 4 Gallon sprayer tank assembly has a dual diaphragm pump for longer pump life and Viton seals for increased durability against harsh chemicals. The sprayer tank also has a wide mouth opening for easier pouring and a strainer that filters debris from getting into the tank.

Good unit, but 1 significant problem

I have a switch tank sprayer with 2 tanks. Once for herbicides and one for pesticides. The Good: 1. Great battery life. You can spray several tanks before having to worry about charging the battery. 2. Good pressure and pressure adjustment. Whether I am using a fan spray nozzle for localized spraying or the adjustable nozzle set to a stream to spray insects in trees, this sprayer works better than any sprayer I have used before. 3. The ability to own/use multiple spray tanks that can be changed out in seconds which include the spray pump and spray wand is very useful and a game changer. The Bad: 1. The backpack unit is heavy. I can only comfortably mix 2 gallons at a time, otherwise it would be very difficult to pick up the unit to your back and get into the straps. 2. Due to the weight, you really have to lean forward to be well balanced when using the sprayer - which exposes the big problem with the unit. The fluid pickup for the pump in the bottom of the tank is at the back bottom of the tank. Leaning forward while wearing the backpack to balance the weight causes it to "unport" the pump intake long before the tank is empty. There is roughly 1/2 gallon of material left in the tank when it starts to stop spraying unless you lean backwards to keep the intake port covered with fluid. I have even taken the unit off my back and carried it with with one hand so that I can keep the fluid to the back side of the tank where it can be picked up by the pump. Milwaukee - please re-design the tank intake so that it is on the front bottom side of the tank so that someone wearing the backpack and leaning forward can spray every ounce of fluid in the tank before it stops working.

I would buy agian

the only drawback is the weight when full but the harnes is verry good
