This M12 LED Work Light from Milwaukee (49-24-0146) outlasts and outperforms all other subcompact lights. Powered by a 12V LITHIUM-ION battery, the work light is 2X brighter and whiter than conventional incandescent bulbs and runs up to twice as long. With a sealed aluminum head to provide impact and weather resistance, Milwaukee provides a limited lifetime LED warranty. Bright Light but Needs Improvement

I have had 3 work lights over the years and while the brightness has greatly improved, the ergonomics of the light has gotten worse on each new version. The ergonomics was best on the light you made about 15 years ago. The on/off switch was on the back and the head would pivot past 90 so you could have light on the part you are working on while its on a benchtop. The latest version has a bright LED light but the front switch is easy to accidently turn it off when you grab the light, and the head only pivots 90. It's frustrating to have to find something to put under the light so it will tilt and shine on your benchtop when a simple design change would allow the head to pivot past 90. Move the switch to the back and allow the head to pivot more and you would have the perfect light. Do your designer actually use the tools they design If so, they would immediately see the improved user experience these changes would bring.

Worked well but now it doesn't

Had this flashlight for 4 years and now it doesn't work. Found out it has a 5 year warranty but not getting any replies from Milwaukee. Worked well but now it doesn't...

Great but, keep the lens away from solvents - fog

I use this light for repair of outdoor power equipment. A very good light. I don't normally worry about blemishing surfaces with the magnet so, I removed the rubber magnet protector and got much more sticking power. Doesn't fall off steel parts anymore. Only problem: some carburetor cleaner got on the plastic lens and fogged it up. Asked Milwaukee where I could get a replacement lens several time through this website with no answer. If its not available, just tell me.

How did this pass engineering?

The light output is the only thing that saves this from going down to 1 star. A round task light What were they thinking This thing won't stand up, lay down or stay where you want the light to be. Honestly the most frustrating tool to use in my bags. I opted for a Petzl headlamp instead.

I expected more from Milwaukee tools

Since I have all these easily charged up M12 batteries, I figured that I should buy a compatible flashlight, because I always have flashlights with dead batteries in them around the garage. I picked this one, because it was the simplest and least expensive. It does what I need it to do, but if I could do it again, I'd pick something else. I'd say the thing I like least is the magnet. It isn't very strong and it looks just like the on/off button. Both are square, black, and in the middle of the tool. Often, I find myself accidentally pressing it and then frustratingly searching for the real button. Also, I'm not a big fan of the swivel head. It has nine positions and is very wobbly. I feel like three firm positions would have been sufficient. Finally, I think the shape could have been thought out better. It's roundish, I guess to comfortably fit the shape of your hand, but when you set it on a shelf above you to shine down, it tends to teeter or roll where it wants to be. I must say, it's durable, plenty bright, fits comfortably in my hand, and I like that the button only turns it on or off. I find it to be a nuisance, when I press the button of a flashlight expecting it to turn off, but instead it dims multiple times or flashes. I don't care for that annoying feature.
