Cut and drill into copper, steel or plastic pipe for up to 4" valves using the DM3MECH Mechanical Hot Tapping Machine (08350) from Reed. It includes a base machine, along with 7/16" Hex Arbor, 1/4" Drill Bit, Hole Saws 5/8", 7/8", 1-1/8", 1-3/8", 1-3/4", 2-1/4", 3-1/4", Allen wrenches and toolbox.

  • Hot tap tool for piping, fittings and valves with NPT threads. Hot tap steel, galvanized, copper, brass or aluminum pipe for installing branch connections from 3/4” to 4” valves.
  • Complete kit includes main body assembly, shafts, hole saw assortment, arbor and accessories in a storage case.
  • REED Mechanical Hot Tapping Machine is the tapping machine only with valves, saddles, fittings and piping supplied by the operator.

I recommend this product

Broke on first use

I'm a master plumber of 20 yrs and i normally rent a Ford brand hot tap machine from Ferguson's and never a problem. This Reed brand hot tap machine is trash. The pilot bit wore down and did not catch the coupon. And the shaft broke right at the drill. Very low quality metal.
