6” jaws for my 5-1/2” Craftsman 51871 vise

This product has the same number as my Craftsman 51871 5-1/2” vise, but the jaws are 6”. I assume Craftsman also made a 6” version of the 51871 vise. I emailed Toolbarn and they didn’t have a 5-1/2” set, so I got these and I figured I would just cut off the overhang on both sides. The mounting holes fit perfectly, but once I mounted them, I realized the grooves for holding round objects would be cut off too. D’oh! So I just left that side long and it’s fine. At least it has the grooves. Any other jaws I found that fit my vise didn’t have the grooves. The quality is excellent and the price was better than any other product out there. Highly recommended.
